    Dogs do not have as sensitive skin on their backs as we do, so my dogs immediately got their microchips implanted between their shoulder blades. When I had to hydrate a dog, which means putting a needle under their skin on the back and letting liquid run under the skin, she did not react when I inserted the needle or when the water was flowing.

    I can’t take the idea of implanting something under my pet’s skin. I think a GPS tracker is more humane plus it lets you track your pet real time and make sure he/she doesn’t get lost.
